The good news is: We reviewed and collected the best Firefox add-ons for developers (supported by Firefox Quantum).

• Web Developer: The Web Developer add-on extends Mozilla Firefox by adding a toolbar with various options for working with web pages. For example, it has an option to inspect CSS styles of page elements that will tell you what CSS attributes they have, and which styles affect them.
• SeoQuake: SeoQuake will help you in optimizing your web pages for search engines. It gives you an SeoBar that has loads of useful SEO-related options for you to take advantage of. This extension will assist you in identify issues pertaining to search engine indexing in your web pages.
•  Window Resizer 1.0: Window Resizer comes in handy for testing different screen sizes and monitor resolutions. It quickly and accurately resizes Firefox’s viewport so that you can test to see how your design looks in standard resolution sizes.
• FireShot: FireShot is a Firefox add-on that creates screenshots of your web page. What is unique about this plugin is that it gives you a set of editing and annotation tools for working with your screenshots. This can be a handy extension to have for presenting your work in your portfolio.
• Firebug: Firebug is considered to be the ultimate developer’s tool for Firefox. You are given a ton of web development tools to use from within your browser. You can explore, edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript in real-time on any web page.
• Greasemonkey: The Greasemonkey Firefox add-on enables you to modify how a web page looks and works by using small snippets of JavaScript. There are hundreds of scripts that you can download to enhance this add-on.
•  ColorZilla: ColorZilla is an incredibly simple extension for Firefox. If you’ve ever wanted to determine what colors are used on a web page, ColorZilla is the tool for the job. It adds an eyedropper icon to the bottom-left corner of Firefox.
• FireFTP: FireFTP is a streamlined Firefox extension for uploading files to a server. It offers several advantages to standalone FTP applications, such as its operating system-independent requirements. This browser add-on has all the features you would expect from standalone apps.
• IE Tab: This great add-on for web developers allows you to switch back and forth from IE and Firefox layout engines with a click of a button. This permits you to test and compare how each browser renders your web pages without having to leave Firefox or install IE(vil).
• Palette Grabber: This add-on will build color themes that are exportable to popular graphic-editing software such as Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, GIMP, Fireworks, and Paint.NET of the web page you’re currently viewing.
• Font Finder 0.5c: With this add-on, you can highlight any text on a page to find out CSS styling information about that highlighted block of text.
• Total Validator: This extension is an all-in-one validation tool that will check HTML, links, take screenshots and do a lot more. It also performs accessibility validation (WCAG, US-508), broken link checking, spell checking (in five different languages), and take screen captures via different web browsers and operating systems to see how your web pages look.
• Platypus: Hands down, Platypus is one of the best Firefox extensions for modifying a web page. It works with Greasemonkey as a sort of WYSIWYG and it will remember your edits when you visit the web page again. You can use it to experiment with different variations of a web design.
• Dummy Lipsum: An add-on with a very simple purpose, Dummy Lipsum generates Lorem Ipsum dummy text for you to use in your designs.
• Page Diff: Page Diff is an add-on that helps web developers and designers see HTML source code differences between web pages. This is helpful for finding code irregularities or differences that will enable you to debug rendering issues.
• Aardvark: Aardvark, aimed at front-end web developers, let’s you select web page elements and gives you several options for them, such as removing them from the web page (great for screen shots) or modifying their colors (helpful when printing web pages).
• Codetch: Codetch is a WYSIWYG editor add-on that allows you to edit web pages directly in Firefox. The interface is modeled after Dreamweaver (but thankfully, the price is not).
• Measure It: Measure It is an add-on that gives you a built-in ruler for measuring web page elements. It’s great for figuring out dimensions of things on a web page.
• YSlow: YSlow is a web browser utility that benchmarks a web page’s front-end design performance. It will assist you in optimizing your web designs for fast response times by identifying performance issues.
• CSSViewer: CSSViewer allows you to inspect CSS properties on a web page that you’re viewing. It’s a great way to study styles that you’ve seen on websites to learn CSS development techniques.

  I absolutely recommend the ‘Web Developer‘ add-on. It gives you some great features which will make your development workflow faster.
  I enjoy various CSS, form and image options. No matter if I want to check alt tags, missing images or image dimensions, this add-on is my preferred choice.

  The User Agent Switcher allows you to switch the user agent of your browser. The add-on will add an option to the tool settings. This option lets you switch the user agent.

Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data | Firefox Help

How do I find my profile?
- Click the menu button Fx89menuButton, click Help and select More Troubleshooting Information. The Troubleshooting Information tab will open.
- Under the Application Basics section next to Profile Folder, click Open Folder. Your profile folder will open. 
Note: If you are unable to open or use Firefox, follow the instructions in Finding your profile without opening Firefox.
Finding your profile without opening Firefox
Firefox stores your profile folder in this location on your computer, by default:
C:\Users\<your Windows login username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
Windows hides the AppData folder by default but you can find your profile folder as follows:
- Press Windows Key+R on the keyboard. A Run dialog will open.
- Type in:
- %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
- Click OK. A window will open containing profile folders.
- Double-click the profile folder you wish to open. If you only have one profile, its folder would have "default" in the name. 
- Alternatively, you can find your profile by pressing the Windows Key key and then start typing: %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

What information is stored in my profile?
Note: This is not a complete list. Only important information is described.
Bookmarks, Downloads and Browsing History:
- places.sqlite
- This file contains all your Firefox bookmarks and lists of all the files you've downloaded and websites you’ve visited.
- bookmarkbackups
- This folder stores bookmark backup files, which can be used to restore your bookmarks.
- favicons.sqlite
- This file contains all of the favicons for your Firefox bookmarks.

Passwords:
- key4.db
- logins.json
- Your passwords are stored in these two files. For more information, see Password Manager - Remember, delete and edit logins and passwords in Firefox. 
Site-specific preferences:
- permissions.sqlite
- content-prefs.sqlite
- These two files store many of your Firefox permissions (for instance, which sites are allowed to display popups) or zoom levels that are set on a site-by-site basis (see Font size and zoom - increase the size of web pages). 
Search engines:
- search.json.mozlz4
- This file stores user-installed search engines. For more information, see Add or remove a search engine in Firefox. 
Personal dictionary:
- persdict.dat
- This file stores any custom words you have added to Firefox's dictionary. For more information, see How do I use the Firefox spell checker?. 
Autocomplete history:
- formhistory.sqlite
- This file remembers what you have searched for in the Firefox search bar and what information you’ve entered into forms on websites. For more information, see Control whether Firefox automatically fills in forms. 
Cookies:
- cookies.sqlite
- A cookie is a bit of information stored on your computer by a website you’ve visited. Usually, this is something like your site preferences or login status. Cookies are all stored in this file. 
DOM storage:
DOM Storage is designed to provide a larger, more secure, and easier-to-use alternative to storing information in cookies.
- webappsstore.sqlite
- Information is stored in this file for websites
- chromeappsstore.sqlite
- This file stores information for about:* pages. 
Extensions:
- extensions
- This folder, if it exists, stores files for any extensions you have installed. To learn more about Firefox extensions and other add-ons, see Find and install add-ons to add features to Firefox. 
Security certificate settings:
- cert9.db
- This file stores all your security certificate settings and any SSL certificates you have imported into Firefox. 
Security device settings:
- pkcs11.txt
- This file stores security module configuration. 
Download actions:
- handlers.json
- This file stores your preferences that tell Firefox what to do when it comes across a particular type of file. For example, these are the settings that tell Firefox to open a PDF file with Acrobat Reader when you click on it. For more information, see Manage file types and download actions in Firefox. 
Stored session:
- sessionstore.jsonlz4
- This file stores the currently open tabs and windows. For more information, see Restore previous session - Configure when Firefox shows your most recent tabs and windows. 
Toolbar customization:
- xulstore.json
- This file stores toolbar and window size/position settings. For more information, see Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars. 
User preferences:
- prefs.js
- This file stores customized user preference settings, such as changes you make in Firefox Settings dialogs. The optional user.js file, if one exists, will override any modified preferences. 
Containers:
- containers.json
- This file stores the details of containers used by the Container Tabs feature, including those created by extensions such as Facebook Container.
